VERY IMPORTANT: READ THIS SECTION BEFORE STARTING THE PRE-REGISTER PROCESS
All the people interested on the UCM University-Specific Degrees (“Titulaciones Propias”) should ask first for the pre-register application form. Each University-Specific Degree gives all the information needed to know the specific academic requirements asked to get into the course, as well as all the documentation students should present in order to be accepted on the registration process.
The applications could be formalized online or presented at the “Secretaría” in charged of the university-specific degrees of the corresponding centre.
Pre-register at the "Secretaría":
- The student asks for the pre-register application form at the “Secretaría”
- The student brings to the “Secretaría” the application form correctly fulfilled on the established dates, as well as the following documents:
- DNI or passport photocopy
- If the student has studied in Spain or in another UE country, a photocopy and the original, in order to compare them, of the required academic degree certificate
- If the student has not studied in an UE country, and has not obtained the equivalence of the academic credentials or has not have the Rector's authorization for studying a PhD degree at the UCM:
- original and a photocopy of the required academic degree
- original and a photocopy of a personal academic certificate which records all the subjects that have been studied and the corresponding grades
- Both documents must be translated in Spanish by an official translator and legalized through diplomatic channels.
- The “Secretaría” will give to the student a pre-register certificate and a payment document
- The student has five days to pay it
Online pre-register:
- The student asks for the pre-register application on the UCM website (www.ucm.es > Admisión y Matrícula > Titulaciones Propias). Once the student has chosen the centre and the degree that wants to study, it will appear the “Preinscripción” (pre-register) button
- The student must fulfil the application form and then pay it in the corresponding way:
- if the pre-register application is being made from a foreign country, the payment must be done with credit card via online banking following the instructions
- if the pre-register application is being made from Spain, the student could pay via online banking or at the Banco Santander or Caja Madrid offices after printing the payment document that should be presented at the bank
- Once the pre-register has been formalized, the student will print the proof of it and should present it or send it to the “Secretaría” of the corresponding centre, as well as the following documents:
- DNI or passport photocopy
- If the student has studied in Spain or in another UE country, a certified photocopy of the required academic degree certificate
- If the student comes from an UE University, there must be presented the document that certifies the obtained degree, translated in Spanish by an official translator
- If the student has not studied in an UE country, and has not obtained the equivalence of the academic credentials or has not have the Rector's authorization for studying a PhD degree at the UCM:
- certified photocopy of the required academic degree
- certified photocopy of a personal academic certificate which records all the subjects that have been studied and the corresponding grades
- Both documents must be translated in Spanish by an official translator and legalized through diplomatic channels
- The documents must be received at the “Secretaría” in a maximum period of 30 days, beginning from the day the student formalized the pre-register. If the “Secretaría” does not have the documents on that period of time, the process of admission will not continue
